Dear Loyal Readers,
After 10-12 weeks of being in the ditch, not feeling like doing more than lying in bed or sitting in my recliner. I have somewhat rallied.
Thanks for the good wishes so many of you sent me.
Last week I pushed myself to do a few of the chores that are stacked up. I work for 20 minutes, then rest.
Yes, we will quietly celebrate the 250 and feel proud to do so. We remember the 200 with the tall ships. I suppose growing up and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in grade school brainwashed us.
I don't carry a phone. We may take it when on an errand. I have never made a video with it. It's an SE, and the battery is headed south. I tried to replace the battery in a prior phone, and it burned up in a cloud of toxic fumes.
Not Us
Up until last year, I could fall asleep thinking of spanking some delightful lass. No more. So don't expect to see a diet of spanking pictures. How about spankable bottoms?
I abhor submissives - male or female. I will not be told what to do, and I have no interest in directing someone else.
I have never played computer games. I don't think much of those who do. I live in the real world.
I don't read fiction. 30 years back, I read everything Heinlein and Asimov wrote. It was entertaining, but I moved on to history, primarily military history.
Aliens coming here or us going to another galaxy? Pure fantasy. Even traveling at light speed, it would take 250 million years to reach Andromeda. 250 million! We can't reach 10% of the speed of light.
I saw a YT of old guys roller skating. They were having fun. At low energy expended. I wish that I had learned to skate. Tried a few times, but was embarrassed by my clumsiness.
We traveled the eleven western states for 13 years. Six to eight months every year. We had to give it up because of my health issues. Not a day goes by that I don't think of places we went. Our travels were not like most people in RVs who stay in RV parks. That was like prison to us. We sought places on pubic land with nothing but horizon.
Just outside of Canyonlands
Glad to see you posting! Wishing you all the best!
ReplyDeleteSeveral hundred readers have already found this post. You were among the first. Hope you found something in it interesting.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteGood to be back
DeleteTime marches on, and so do we…. Glad to see you are back on your feet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for saying so.
DeleteWelcome back. My wife and I also enjoy the off grid look of the country. Been to many of the same as you. Get well soon the adventures can continue.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, we wish the adventures could continue, but we will always have the memories.
DeleteSpankables will be just fine, anything you wish to post. Most impressive how you manage to fit all you needed for several months in a camper van (like many English names for things, somewhat out of date). I would need a fleet of them. Apart from the Highlands of Scotland, we don't have either the variety or awesome splendour of the countryside you have.
ReplyDeleteOur RV was 26 feet. Best shown in the first picture. We carried everything we wanted and had space left over. You never know when you might buy two cases of apples and three cases of wine on the way home. Grin. All of our clothes were stored folded in one cabinet. We duplicated everything for the kitchen no packing or unpacking it. We only ate out when the fare was something we could not cook. Bacall cooked just like at home. No paper plates. In short, we lacked for nothing.
DeleteI thought you called RV's caravans? Love what you call grocery shopping carts - Trollies.
DeleteYour RV is our camper van, ie a motorised vehicle. Our caravan is like your Airstream, not motorised but towed by a car or four wheel drive. To confuse things camper vans are sometimes called motorised caravans, which is at least descriptive. In summer our holiday routes are clogged up with caravans being towed by underpowered vehicles. One sees a number of camper vans from mainland Europe.
DeleteGlad to see you back.
ReplyDeleteWe too have loved exploring southern Utah. Capitol Reef is such a gem. And Monument Valley was so much more than I expected.
For us, submissiveness is part of a sex game, never serious.
Anywhere south of I70 is Red Rock country and we like it all. Most people don't know that Cap Reef extends south almost to Lake Powell and north to I70. Much to see off the paved roads.
DeletePlan to make a post today.
Just got back in the country so I am a little late but great to see you back!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to be back. Not up for full speed, but I will take what I can get. I missed you, but I can not recall where you went. Send me PM on your adventures.
