It's Hump Day for some, not for Federal workers, not for soy boys living in Mom's basement, and not for retired folks. We retired early - back in 2007. Good thing we did. We enjoyed over 10 years of traveling in our RV until health issues shut that down.
This is what passes for excitement around here these days. The freezer drawer was left slightly open. It was 29 degrees when we discovered it, but the ice in the tray had started to melt and puddled on the floor of the freezer and the floor of the kitchen. The melted ice froze and made opening the door difficult. What to do?
For a reason that doctors can not explain, bending over quickly tires me. I am anemic from Leukemia and Long Covid. So it's a triple punch. I have always been a Do It Myself guy, so I resisted calling our appliance guy.
I got four coolers and froze a dozen ice packs to put the food in while I removed ice. This went quickly, but I was panting heavily, close to passing out.
I felt some sense of accomplishment, but I was toast the rest of the morning.
Exciting huh?
I need a PA - like this gal. She would look a lot better than I on her knees, pounding ice with a hammer.
Well done sorting out the freezer situation. I have never heard of a quick recovery from knee surgery. My daughter had a knee replacement and was told the it could be a year before she was fully recovered. Thank you again for the excellent pictures. Always appreciated.
ReplyDeleteWe were misinformed about recovery time. Not from the doctor but from people who had the surgery. Much more difficult than the bypass surgery she had a few years back.
DeleteThat's good news about bacall. I was just informed I have three heart blockages and the soonest I can get it taken care of is 3 November. The doctor said he will try to do all three the at the same time, but may only be able to do two. Seeing all these brautiful bottoms does making my morning. Love the outdoors girl.the most.
ReplyDeleteBacall had three blockages and her surgery went well, as I am sure yours will also. Heart surgery seems to be one they have nailed down well.
DeleteCute bunny panties.
ReplyDeleteDallas and Audrey, just to fill the space :)
ReplyDeletePrefectdt

DeleteImage 2, perfection. As your Pa she should could do all sorts of useful things kneeling down!
ReplyDeleteI was worried she might now be in my league
DeleteLife does us all an unfair hand as we get to that golden age along with retirement.
ReplyDeleteNow that we’ve got all the time on our side our physical abilities have diminished.
I just yesterday completed my 73rd orbit of the Sun. 14 years since I beat prostate cancer. Ask me how long it’s been since a had really good erection.
I can sympathize with your issues Bogey my friend.
Came to realize it’s now 10 years I’ve been following this blog.
We’ll go on as long as we can.
I have you beat, and that's not a good thing. Cancer returned to my prostate. Another chemical castration shot and a pill a day that gives me constant hot flashes. What's this erection you speak of? One shot of Lupron turned mine into a shrunken worm. I could go on. Looking forward to cooler temps. Here it is mid October and it's 87. We usually have frost before now.
