Over the past few months, more than a few comments seem to have vanished into cyberspace or have been rejected. Well, it seems to the commenter that is what has happened. In fact, I just recently discovered that Blogger has tagged them as spam.
I get the usual notice of the comment, but no indication that Blogger has flagged it as spam.
They fall into three categories
1) Neither of us notices. I have nothing to add to the comment, so I don’t go to the site to reply and find it's missing.
2) The commenter notices it’s missing and sends me an email wondering WTF.
3) The commenter notices, but figures I rejected the comment and so grumbles but does not write me. Since sending me an email is considered dangerous, as they feel sure their Mother will be informed.
If you note your comment is missing, you may write me. I pledge I will not inform your Mother, wife or priest.
I believe you have mentioned this before, so if one of my incredible commentts vanishes, I just ignore it. and blame the AI.

ReplyDeleteGood practice. In this case, if the first one is flagged as spam, might not the second one also be flagged. Who knows?
