BJ Trivia

I saw this. Not sure I believe it. Perhaps oral has come into and out of fashion many times?

Blow jobs may seem as American as apple pie these days, but that wasn’t always the case. The act was taboo for centuries, and the term didn’t even enter our lexicon until the 1940s, when it referred primarily to a forbidden homosexual encounter. So whom do we have to thank for bringing oral sex out of the shadows and into the mainstream? Organized crime, it turns out. From Mario Puzo’s The Godfather to Deep Throat (a film bankrolled by the Colombo crime family), the mob ushered the job into heterosexual bedrooms across the country, where it has stayed firmly in hand ever since.

Think it is true??

  1. I've never heard this particular trivia but had heard that many married men went to prostitutes for blow jobs since "good" women didn't "do that!" Both your trivia and the one I heard are possible but don't know if one or both are true. ;) Thanks for sharing.

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

    1. I never considered BJ better then than intercourse, so the allure/fascination most men put on it was lost on me. Now oral for females seems to be all the rage. What's next?

  2. Never actually read "The Godfather" so can't say if organized crime is responsible for bringing blowjobs into the mainstream. But similar to what Cat wrote I can tell you that the "Boys" never would have their wives give them a blowjob. They always had a woman on the side for that. The reason behind it was that they would never have the same mouth that kissed their children, suck their cock.

  3. I seem to remember an article about the the British Army in revolutionary American and a slur by a British officer that the French "fuck with their faces". Cunnilingus v. a BJ, but the reverse could also be true.

PS: I agree; I've never considered a BJ better then than intercourse either.
