Spanking Magazines

Those of us of a certain age might have paid visits to adult book stores seeking spanking magazines. Most were of poor quality and all fiction. We have come a long way since then, but we still don’t see magazines like the ones below in the supermarket checkout aisle.

These two covers I made using a web based tool way back in 2002.

Hello? Anyone out there?

  1. I read the last one and how about when Shadow Lane rocked our world with Stand Corrected, that was a turning point for so many of us.

  2. Yes, I remember many years ago visiting the Soho area of London, and going to the Janus store. They featured all sorts of spanking magazines, Janus, Blushes, Uniform Girls, Justice, are a few that come to mind. I would usually leave with a sack full to bring back to the states, then always worry if customs would say anything, but thankfully they did not.

  3. Anyone remember the old Whip and Rod early spanking magazines? Sure wish I still had the few copies I had years ago.

  4. Hello
Yes - still out there and apologies for just passing by and not acknowledging your posts.
Thanks for bringing back the plaid skirts - can we resume normal service on these please? They are such a tonic.
As for spanking magazines - where does one begin. Oh, to be a teenager now with internet spanking sites and an open acceptability in society about spanking and fetish behaviour. I am tempted to write an article about where it all began for a 14 year old in 1969. How difficult things were in those days? - searching for spanking images and the written word was an obsession and a full time job.
Have a good week. Bad news over here- the Olympic Ladies Beach Volleyball competitors might be allowed to wear T-shirts and Shorts because of our inclement UK weather. Cry Foul!

  5. With the internet and so much being available online the need or market for spanking magazines seems to have evaporated. I always liked Janus and I thought Ma'am was a superior F/M effort. The best online 'zine was the much missed Bared Affair.

  6. Oh, yes, I am of that 'certain age' too. And spent lots of time at the local 'book' stores. In the late 60's early 70's there wasn't much published about Female Dominant things but one exception was 'Bizarre Life'. I included a pic of the cover in a post on our blog on April 29, 2010.

Its great that things have changed for the better and there are lots and lots of resources available now, with just a couple of keystrokes on our computer. Your blog is certainly included!
